It's #NationalMuttDay by #SuperSmiley, Pet Life Radio Blog Dog & Megan Blake

Mutts have been among us, protecting people, making them laugh, and giving love for a long long time.
Old Yeller from the classic film “Old Yeller” was a mutt!

The original Benji from the movie “Benji” was a mutt!
War Dogs, Therapy Dogs are mutts, and I'm a Mutt!
My Top 5 Reasons to Adopt a Mutt!

1.    We are the Best!  All our genes mixed from all those breeds give us the coolest qualities ever!

2.    We are fantastic working dogs and contribute to the welfare and care of people all over the world.
We are military dogs, service dogs, therapy dogs, search and rescue dogs and movie stars!

3.    We are unique!  How many dogs just like us are there in the world?  Only one!  We’re one of a kind!  Cause we’re mutts!

4.    We soooo appreciate being adopted, and we will never forget it, and will love you forever!

5.    We’re hardy and healthy and super smart, because we’re a mix of all those great dogs with all those super qualities.

... Super Smiley, You are my Mutt!  It's Smiley's person, Megan, here now on how you can celebrate National Mutt Day!

1. Adopt a Mutt!

2. Strut your Mutt!  When someone asks you what kind of dog you have, instead of saying his designer mix label, proudly say, "He's a rescued Mutt!"

3. Volunteer at your local shelter and encourage your friends to adopt.

4. Donate to your local shelter.  Ask if they need blankets, bowls, food or any items you may already have.

5.  Watch and share Super Smiley's Award Winning Film Short, "Super Smiley Flash Mob - A Dogumentary," that shouts it out for Mutts:
The Coolest Thing You Can Do
Is Get a Thrown Away Dog
        Mutts Rock!  It's True!

Time to Super Smile! It’s Pet Dental Month! with KINDNESS, Radio Blog Dog, Super Smiley

Super Smiley, blog dog, here, with the scoop on how to help your dogs and cats stay healthy, starting at the top!
With their teeth!
Did you know that plaque and tarter build-up could lead to systemic infection and to liver, kidney and heart disease?  Yep!  So this is not just about a pretty face and a Super Smile,
but also about your pets’ long happy lives.
A Quick Brush Up on the facts:
Dog Breath may not just be cosmetic, but may mean serious health issues!
By the age of 2, almost 80% of dogs and 70% of cats have developed periodontal (gum) disease.
Periodontal disease is the most common health condition in cats and dogs - even though it's preventable.

So What do we do?

First Visit Your Veterinarian for a check up.
*Brush his teeth!
* And, Give him Toys that encourage chewing that gently clean the teeth like rope toys or toys that have treats hidden inside that can serve to scrape the teeth as the teeth move in to score the goodies.
*And Treats that don’t break down easily so there will be friction against the teeth as they chew.
I have a lot more detailed info like how to train your dog to love having his teeth brushed at my Sergeant's Pet Health Central blog at Smiley's Pet Dental Month Blog
And, my Super Pawsome Veterinarian, Dr. Lupo, will be on my Pet Life Radio show with All the Scoop!
With all this info, you and your pets are ready to go into Pet Dental Month with Super Smiles, and to come out with Healthy Smiles!
Be Sure to find me on Twitter @SuperSmileyDog and @Megan_Blake and on FB at Super Smiley and Megan Blake

Body Language of Betty White with Super Smiley the KINDNESS Radio Blog Dog & Megan Blake, The Pet Lifestyle Coach®

Super Smiley here, the KINDNESS Radio Blog Dog, with more observations.
I Loved bringing you My Hug Reviews from The #World Dog Awards, so I thought it would be Super Pawsome to comment on something you humans talk about All The Time regarding us dogs...
Body Language Reviews!
You are always taking about our bodies.  Are we relaxed, are our ears up, is our tail tucked, is our head down, are our eyes bulging like whales... !!!!

Well I'm turnin' the tables!  I'm going to review some people body language!  And I'm startin' with the Royalty!
with....  drum roll....  da da da daaaa...   Betty White!

First of all We All Love Betty White.  She is the Queen of...  What ever she wants to be.  We love her!  And I got to meet her!  Right up close.  And when you meet someone in real life - person to dog - you really never know what to expect.  Will they be like you thought?  Are they like they are on TV?  Will they even give you the time of day?

Well let me tell you.  Betty White is a pro, she always knows her lines, she hits her marks and is lovely looking at the camera.  I aspire to be just like her.  I want to do my job, hit my marks and be handsome with focused eye contact for the cameras!  Well, when I met her, I was mesmerized.  The cameras went away, Megan went away, the world went away...  All I saw was Betty White.
And she looked at me!  She leaned in with a sweet soft face.  Her voice was relaxed and sweet with a higher lilt.  She smelled so good.
It was like I was the only dog in the world.  I loved her.

Betty White is my human hero!  Thank you for being a wonderful example to all humans of loving and caringness.  She changes the world just by being in it.

Dogs reading this know what I mean, and for humans reading this, I give The Betty White Body Language - 4 Paws Up!  Thank you Miss Betty...

And speaking of Changing the World one person and one dog at a time,  Today is Change a Pet's Life Day!  Read about how you can Change a Life and Change a Universe in my Pet Health Central blog at Change A Pet's Life Day!

Celebrity Hugs from The #WorldDogAwards on National Hug Day, with Super Smiley the KINDNESS Radio Blog Dog and Megan Blake, The Pet LIfestyle Coach®

Super Smiley here on National Hug Day!  I think Hug Day is meant for Humans to slow down and appreciate each other, But..
We dogs need in on this because we are the Master of Hugs!

And I was just at the Main Event!  The #WorldDogAwards where the Stars were there to shine their light on the Dogs!
And there was some Huggin' goin on!

Elaine Hendrix, the beeeeeautiful actress in Sex & Drugs & Rock N Roll, is definitely huggin her sweeet Ellie.  Her right hand is around her soo gently, so I call this The Sweet Hug and Ellie is lookin very relaxed and happy.  She's a lucky girl.

Hank is being hugged by his people like We Love You Soooo Much and You Just Won the Top Dog at The World Dog Awards Hug!
But Hank really won the best prize of all, his new Forever Family.

The Property Brothers, Drew and Johathan Scott have two dogs and they said dogs are family!  Pawsome!  They are doing the Hug N Cradle which keeps their dogs right up close with a birds eye view.  Good form!

Lance Bass from N'Sync is demonstrating the Hug N Scratch which Lilly prefers.  This gives a relaxed feel and the humans do look quite chill.

The Star Dog who plays Sandy in the hit film Annie is being hugged with the Paws on the Ground Secure Hold N Hug.  This lets her look around while she knows she is completely safe.  Her trainer there, Bill Berloni, exudes confidence, and she looks like a beautiful actress dog who has all of her needs taken care of.

OK Megan is up next with....

Wait!  That's not a hug!

That's a Big ol' Kiss from the Best Actor in a Commercial, Cooper.  He is handsome, talented and a lover!

Next up is the lady of all ladies, Lassie.
But when you need her,
She can Save The Day!  That's not a hug, but when you are Royalty, it's proper etiquette to just Extend Your Paw.

This is The Sofa Cuddle Hug demonstrated by Mick from Disney's Dog With a Blog.   Its relaxed and casual.  Perfect!

Now it's my turn to show you the Super Smiley Hug.  I think hugs should be given to share Kindness and a Super Smile.  What ya think?

Until Next Time,
